The highlight is Phra Phuttha Suwanmongkhon Mahamuni, or Luang Pho Yai, a seated Buddha in the boon-granting pose, reinforced concrete clad in 24K gold mosaic. One source gives a lap of about 23 m and a height of about 42 m; you can walk around its base, which carries heaven-and-hell reliefs. It is often called Thailand's largest, but 'one of the largest' is safer, Matichon says Luang Pho Phae began it in 1974 and gives a lap of 13 wa 2 sok 7 niu (about 27 m), which differs; no completion year has been found. There are also a big Phra Sangkajai, a Ganesha on an island reached by a bridge, and a gallery of day-of-the-week Buddhas.

Luang Pho Phae Khemangkaro (Phra Thammamuni) was born on Monday 1 January BE 2448 — 1906 CE, as the Thai year then began in April — at Ban Suan Kluai, Phikun Thong; his mother died when he was eight months old. He became a novice here on 15 April 1920 and was ordained on 21 April 1926, studying at Wat Mahathat under Somdet Phra Wannarat (Heng). In April 1931 he became abbot and began a new ordination hall to replace the 1897 one, founding a Dhamma and Pali school in 1932.

He rose through the ranks to Phra Thammamuni in 1996, was Sing Buri's provincial monk-head from 1982, and was called 'the god of the Noi River basin'; his 1951 brass Somdet amulet is well known, his first coin amulet came in 1959, and he helped build Tha Chang Hospital in 1965. He died on 10 February 1999, aged 94, and his body rests in the Luang Pho Phae Museum with his belongings. Phra Ratchasuwatthanaphon (Prachuap) became abbot in 2000, honorary abbot from 2022, and died on 15 September 2026.

It is open about 08:00–16:30 and free. Dress modestly; the big-Buddha plaza has little shade, so come early or late, and there are stairs up to the base. There is a market, food stalls, a playground and a large free car park. No fixed annual fair was found; merit-making is common on 1 January (his birthday) and 10 February (his death anniversary) — check the temple's page first.
