Its founder, Pairoj Thanomwong, is an Ang Thong native with a mechanical-engineering degree from Kasetsart University who collected figures as a child. In 2000 he began working with metal in Pattaya, starting with a small steel motorcycle. Around 2012–13 he moved back to open Ban Hun Lek in Ang Thong, registering the company on 22 October 2013.
About 80% of the material is old car and engine parts, lawnmowers, bolts, chains and gears, with new steel for frames and pipes. Most pieces stand 2–4 m tall, the biggest about 6 m. There are Transformer-style robots, superheroes, aliens, dinosaurs, cars and motorcycles, as well as Thai themes such as an iron Buddha, Ganesha and giant demon-face jars.
In 2017 THE STANDARD reported that three of his giant robots stood at Wat Takhian in Nonthaburi, and in 2018 Thai PBS reported about 100 large prototypes, with 60–70% of output exported to the US, UK and France. Visitors can watch welders at work and order or buy pieces, priced from tens to hundreds of thousands of baht.
The site has an indoor gallery, an outdoor yard of giant robots and an air-conditioned cafe, "Sapha Kafae", serving coffee, noodles, ice cream and "sweet rust" chocolates shaped like nuts and tools. Visitors in 2024 said some outdoor robots had been moved, so the layout may change. The latest information lists daily hours of 09:00–17:00, with entry at 60 baht for adults and 30 for children.
